Agreement
Terms of Use
By creating an account you agree to these terms. They explain what the platform does, what identity verification means, and what it does not mean.
1. The platform
Helping Bandhu is a free, community-powered platform connecting people who need assistance with verified community members willing to help. We are not an employer, agency, care provider or emergency service.
2. Mandatory identity verification
Every active account must belong to a real, identifiable person. You must complete identity verification with an acceptable government-issued identity document before you can create an active platform ID or participate in the volunteer or request system. There is no way to skip, postpone or bypass verification.
Until verification is complete you may browse public informational pages, but you cannot:
- create help requests
- become a volunteer
- message other users
- accept requests
- participate in city queues
3. Accurate information
You must provide your true legal name during registration. Repeatedly submitting different names in order to pass verification is prohibited and may result in suspension. Attempts are limited, after which a person reviews the case.
4. One account per person
You may hold one active account. We use privacy-preserving mechanisms to detect one individual holding several active accounts.
5. Adults only
The platform is intended for adults who meet our minimum age requirement.
6. Identity verification is not a safety guarantee
An Identity Verified badge means only that the account completed the platform's identity-verification process. The platform does not guarantee that an identity-verified person is safe, trustworthy, honest or suitable for every interaction. You are responsible for your own decisions about whom you meet and what help you accept or offer. Please read the Safety Centre.
7. Verification status changes
We may place an account into manual review, suspend it, or revoke a previous verification for administrative or security reasons.
8. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy and the Identity Verification Notice.
9. Conduct
You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. Harassment, fraud, impersonation and abuse result in removal.
